These are lines of energy that criss-cross the world as completely as lines of latitude and longitude. Along them flow various frequencies of energy (negative, positive, and neutral). Though widely believed, or intuited, for centuries, their existence was brought to public light in 1921 by amateur archaeologist Alfred Watkins (1855-1935) through his book, "The Old Straight Track". Many New Agers and Wiccans believe that nexus points - where ley lines converge - are centers of great power. Stonehenge is believed to sit on such a power nexus.
